2012 Year in Review
I never know exactly how to go about doing these kinds of posts. My list-oriented, organizational brain goes all batty. Do I list accomplishments by month? By category of project/event? Do I talk about key high-points or low points? Goals met and unmet? I understand that I stress about silly things.
January: Knit socks. Knit more socks. Drank Tea. Posted family holiday pictures.
February: Dyed Yarn. Sewed two dresses. Designed an mini mitten knitting pattern. Took tons of Bebe pictures.
March: Knit more socks. Went to the Renaissance Festival. Bebe turned one (and more pictures)! Embroidered stuff.
April: Knit more socks (sense a recurring theme?), also some socks. Embroidered more stuff.
May: Socks. Discovered Instagram. Started drawing again. Embroidered something else. Released an embroidery pattern. Knit more socks.
June: Started the Tour de Fleece (but didn’t finish). Sewed a Bebe outfit. Took up calligraphy. Visited Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center. Began an Instagram blog. Made socks.
July: Sewed a beautiful dress. And another one. Painted some watercolors. Finished an embroidered Christmas present (oops). Bebe pictures. Knit some more socks. Another embroidery project.
August: Made a hat. Got new glasses! Mourned my grandpa. Bebe pictures. Knit sockses.
September: Knit more socks. And that’s all, apparently.
October: Painted more. And then some more. Did calligraphy. Knit some socks. Attended a dyeing symposium. Bebe!
November: Blogged every day. Knit some naughty socks, and some not so naughty ones. Knit the Bebe a cardigan. Watched a play. More Bebe pics. Sewed the Bebe a new fall wardrobe. Did some from-life sketches. I buy lots of tea. Thanksgiving! I get really tired of blogging every day.
December: I knit socks. Surprise, surprise. I won a blog award! More embroidery. We had a Hobbitfest. I made cupcakes. I do more life drawings. Bebe likes brick walls. I spin yarn, and, of course, knit socks. I turn 31. Homemade marshmallows. Christmas!
Also, you guys. I knit 19 pairs of socks this year. NINETEEN. Pay no attention to the single sock, and the fact that there’s only 18 pairs pictures. Bebe’s pair were on her feet.

Dang! That’s a lot of beautiful socks!
